Calligraphy
I Aim To Misbehave
Y’all got on this boat for different reasons, but y’all come to the same place. So now I’m asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this – they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They’ll swing back to the belief that they can make people… better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin’.

Pigfarts is on Mars
I have been bad about calligraphy lately and have been meaning to do this, so, it’s here now.
I’m out of practice.
Fuck Da Po lice
This is another one that, while not particularly nerdy, just struck me as son wonderfully incongruous. Plus I got to work on that majuscule “F” and this was good spacing practice. It’s in my etsy store which you can reach by clicking here and someone included it in a treasury supporting the march on Wall Street.

Nice Ass
Special thanks to the callipygian Erin Henry for suggesting this word to me. Initially I was going to make this digitally as a part of my favorite words series, but I felt that I could calligraph it. So I did.

If you like it, it’s in my etsy store.
Get Your Ass To Mars
I don’t know why, but this just popped into my head and I figured I’d make a calligraphy piece. It’s in blackletter textura quadrata. I didn’t do anything particularly clever with it, though I like the implied link between the T and the Y and, obviously, “Mars” is in red because it’s, duh, the red planet.

I put it in my etsy store which you can get to by clicking here
Villain, I Have Done Thy Mother

I’m pretty happy with how this piece came out; I had to revise it once, I just wasn’t happy with the first one.
I felt the lettering was fine, I’m actually very please with the individual letters and the horizontal counters I put in add a good deal of unity, but as a piece, I just don’t think I laid it out properly. Everything is kind of haphazard and I wasn’t happy with it.
I had originally acquired the purple ink for a commission, but I’m very pleased with it and am using it far more than I had anticipated.
I have sent the first draft to my friend Marie who expressed a desire to covet it and the final is available in my etsy store right over here.
If you miss your chance to buy it, it will be in my calligraphy quarterly, “Calligraph Dirty To Me” which will be available before I die.
