Dreams are tricky buggers…
So, this piece is not for sale because it’s going to be up at the FTS Gallery in Stratford, CT as part of their Lucid Dreams show with my best friend and our weird-ass artists collective, Distilled Minds. I say ours but mostly it is his.
Here are the salient facts:
Also, this is a quotation from Neil Gaiman’s “Sandman” somewhere in the Kindly Ones… I’m pretty sure it’s one of the things that Hob says in his very sweet speech to Audrey whose smell he wishes he could remember.
We’ll Miss Him
I’ve been on a huge Bill Hicks kick lately. Just this past week, I’ve rewatched his big four specials, picked up a book that collects a ton of his material, and watched a recent documentary about him, “American: the Bill Hicks Story” after which I had to make a little something.

My friend Erin mentioned that this quotation is wonderful because it is both very powerful but also something that a crazy person would say.
Shazam
This is my first attempt at grinding my own ink… it was an interesting writing experience and I’ll have to get used to it.

I think this is probably my most obtuse piece yet and it’s only one word.
I recently spent two days in Half-Moon Bay with my calligraphy mentor where I learned so much, in all seriousness, that I have had to re-learn how to write the blackletter alphabet.

It’s available in my etsy store over here.
Everything Old Is New Again
I just spent twi days with my calligraphy mentor, Ward Dunham, and so, on the upside we had a fantastic time, enjoyed each other’s company, watched “Ironclad” and the “Concert for George,” and toured Half-Moon Bay, all of which is outstanding. On the down side, he gave me four pages of notes on “Fuck the Po lice,” that’s one page of notes per syllable, shredded it, and now I feel like I have to re-learn the entire alphabet.
…I say that’s a downside, really, all of it is upside.
